Wi-Fi 7 and RED compliance

As the EU's Radio Equipment Directive evolves, wireless infrastructure has to meet both performance and compliance standards. We are helping clients future-proof by upgrading Wi-Fi 6 / 6E quotes to Wi-Fi 7 at no additional cost.

What the Radio Equipment Directive covers

RED (2014/53/EU) governs all radio-enabled devices sold or installed in the EU, covering health and safety, electromagnetic compatibility, efficient use of the radio spectrum, and, since August 2025 under Articles 3.3 d-f, cybersecurity.

For organisations deploying or upgrading wireless networks, RED compliance is a legal requirement, not a nice-to-have.

Why Wi-Fi 7 is the right move now

Higher speeds and bandwidth, up to 4.8x faster than Wi-Fi 6. Multi-Link Operation for simultaneous multi-band connections and better reliability.

Lower latency for real-time operations, CCTV and cloud apps; far better density handling for schools, offices, retail and smart buildings; and security designed against the new RED cybersecurity standards.

The no-cost upgrade initiative

Existing clients with Wi-Fi 6 or 6E quotes or active projects can switch to Wi-Fi 7 equipment at no additional charge, no change in project cost or timeline, and seamless integration into the current deployment.

Talk to your account contact before your quote is converted to an order so we can re-specify the access layer.
