Rack configuration: cabinets specified, populated, terminated and tested before dispatch

A rack is the one part of a project that cannot be fixed remotely. Get the U height, power draw, cable management or patch layout wrong and somebody is unbolting hardware in a plant room. We specify the cabinet with your engineers, build and terminate it here, load test it, and deliver it with documentation.

What Rack configuration and pre-build includes

Every deliverable is handled by named people on your account, before the shipment leaves us.

Cabinet sized to the location

U height, depth, wall or floor mounting, door type and shelving are chosen against the space and the load rather than ordered to a default.

Passive layer specified as a set

Patch panels, keystones, brush and cable management, fibre enclosures and patch cords are picked as one package per rack from the Digitus and Lanberg catalogues.

Power planned, not assumed

Metered PDUs are specified against the actual load, including PoE budget for the switching, with headroom for startup demand.

Built and terminated in our facility

The cabinet is populated, cabled, terminated and dressed before it ships, so on site the task is mounting and connecting.

Labelled to a scheme

Ports, panels and devices carry a consistent labelling scheme across every rack in the project, which keeps spares and documentation interchangeable.

Load tested

Active hardware is powered, loaded and tested in the rack before dispatch.

As-built port map

Documentation is delivered with the hardware, which keeps handover straightforward for class, yard and building surveyors.

Standards-aligned components

Copper and fibre components are ISO/IEC 11801 and EN 50173 aligned, so the passive layer survives inspection.

How it runs

    Site and load review

    Space, mounting, power availability, device count and PoE draw are reviewed with your engineers.

  2. 02

    Rack specification

    Cabinet, passive package, PDUs and active hardware are drawn into a single bill of materials and quoted as one line item per rack.

  3. 03

    Build and terminate

    The cabinet is populated, cabled, terminated, dressed and labelled in our facility.

  4. 04

    Load test and document

    Hardware is powered and tested in place, and the as-built port map is produced.

  5. 05

    Ship as one unit

    The rack is packed and delivered complete to the site it belongs to, timed to the install window.
